Gaming tablets are all the rage right now, but there are good gaming tablets and there are horrible ones. In this article, gaming expert Mark will unpack which tablets are worth investing in and what makes them a good option. Additionally, some devices will be better for games like COD-Mobile and other ones will be better for games like Lords Mobile.
If you have gaming tablet questions, just send me a message. I usually answer when I get the time.
1. Asus ROG Flow Z13 (2025)

As a gamer, I very careful which devices make it on this list and also which devices are higher up on the list. Unlike most my readers, I actually put thought into my life.
That being said, as far as the update on this article the Asus ROG Flow Z13 (2025) still deserves to have the top spot as the top gaming tablet of the year. And there are a few reasons for it. Buckle up. Firstly, the tab runs a full Windows ecosystem, and not a flaky mobile-tablet ecosystem. Secondly, the specs on this tablet are absolutely through the roof. This device has specs unlike anything else in the industry. It is running CPU and GPU performance that rivals a desktop.
Additionally, the online reviews on the ROG Flow Z13 are wild. Gamers are loving the device, which is a big deal, if you’ve ever seen how much of a cry-baby your average gamer will be…
That all being said, this tablet is bloody expensive. It will pretty much be only for gamers with serious wallets. Additionally, the battery life isn’t as good as some of the other contenders on the list.
Notable Specs: AMD Ryzen AI Max with powerful Radeon integrated graphics (10/10), 3.4-inch 2560×1600 panel with 180 Hz adaptive refresh (10/10), and Operating System / Game Library: Windows 11/12 (10/10)
2. Apple iPad Pro (M5, 11-inch or 13-inch)

I’m no fan of Apple products, as all my readers already know. But this year’s Apple iPad Pro Tablet is a beast. And so those who are into Apple devices (yuck), should really consider buying this tablet if they’re serious gamers.
The M-series silicon is basically the king of the arena right now, making circles around almost all android CPUs and GPUs. That’s a big deal. It means that the iPad Pro is killing it in game performance. For mobile gaming heavy hitters (like Genshin Impact, Diablo Immortal at high settings), the iPad Pro wins. The M5 is also more optimized than previous generations.
Additionally, the Apple interface, for those who use Apple, is very effective, and will make jumping into your game rather seamless. The fact that your other Apple devices and accessories will all connect is also a big deal.
The downsides are that its Apple, the fact that you’re locked into Apple’s ecosystem, and no true PC gaming without cloud streaming. Those are big deals, but for someone who loves Apple, this is without a doubt the best gaming tablet in existence.
Notable Specs: Apple M5 chip (10/10) and 120 Hz ProMotion Liquid Retina (9/10)
3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra – My Top Pick

Honestly, the Tab S11 is really the best affordable gaming tablet of the year for serious gamers (who aren’t rolling in crazy cash). It’s still quite expensive, but it’s far more attainable than the ROG, and the specs on this tablet are absolutely breathtaking.
For those without critical thinking brains, let me break this tablet down for you slowly. Here’s the biggest reason why I personally recommend this tablet to most of the annoying fans who send me annoying emails. Firstly, it isn’t Apple. That’s a big deal. Secondly, the 120Hz AMOLED display is incredible. You have to see it to believe it. Additionally, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ and Android 16 makes this tablet as top of the class.
The online reviews are extremely favorable, and a top hit among serious gamers.
Notable Specs: MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ (10/10) and top tablet battery-life for 11-inches in the industry (10/10)
4. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2025) – Most Affordable Pick

The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2025) is a great gaming tablet but, honestly, as you can imagine, doesn’t belong this high on the list. The reason it’s so high is because of its price. It is so affordable that you can buy 10 of these for the price of the other tablets above it on the list.
For that price you’d expect something dreadful, but that isn’t the case! The Amazon Fire HD is actually quite a great device. IT has an Octa-core 2.0 GHz and its battery life is solid.
Again, it’s no match at all for the serious gaming devices on the list, but for the price that the FIRE HD is going for, it’s genuinely worth mentioning!

5. REDMAGIC Astra

The REDMAGIC Astra is absolutely remarkable, and if you were to compare the cost to benefit ratio, this device would take second place after the Fire HD. The specs are off the chart and it looks like it may even deserve a higher spot on this list if not for the fact that I haven’t yet tried it (and it doesn’t have brand authority like the other gaming tablets on this list).
The processor Snapdragon 8 Elite is fantastic (but falls slightly behind the ROG and Apple) and the display screen is genuinely wild. And I don’t usually get to excited by the gaming specs on tablets.
Also, the design of the tablet is remarkable and it looks like it belongs in the year 2050. Whoever designed this beast tablet at the REDMAGIC company needs a serious raise. It’s awesome.
Additional Note: The REDMAGIC Nova is also really great and it outperforms the Astra in a few areas, but overall, I believe that the Astra is the better tablet for serious gamers.
Notable Specs: Snapdragon 8 Elite (9/10) and Advanced ICE-X multi-layer (10/10)

6. Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 (2025)

The Legion Tab Gen 3 is a solid tablet, and like the Redmagic it comes at a much more competitive price then the top items on this list. Although the snapdragon 8 on this device falls a little behind the other leading tablets (especially the ROG and IPAD), its still a solid option and far ahead of standard gaming tablet options.
The real reason that I put this tablet on the list is because of the incredible display, awesome potability (which to some gamers is critical), and the price.
All in all, I would recommend this to gamers to use if they’re on a budget or if they’re on the move all the time.
Notable Specs: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (7/10) and 165 Hz Display (9/10)

Final Thoughts from Mark
I’m a gamer, and so this is my world. And although, the tool that you game on is not the most important part of the story, but rather the bloody skills that you’re supposed to develop as you play. Nonetheless, its highly recommended to obtain solid tools.
Being that I cover in my blog a few specific games, here’s my opinion on the best tablets per game within my expertise:
- Lords Mobile: Because it’s not a such a resource or graphics-heavy game it will look awesome on pretty much any of the tablets on my list, including the Amazon Fire HD
- COD Mobile: My favorite tablet for COD-Mobile will be the Asus ROG Flow Z13. COD Mobile has some serious requirements, and the ROG will actually do the best job at handling the heavy requirements.
- Subway Surfers: I love Subway Surfers but it could pretty much run on a Nokia 5110 without any problems… Well not exactly, but you get the drift!
And that’s why the tablet that you game on is quite important.
