Not you again with that grumpy face. I thought you’d be smart enough to learn about heroes in Lords Mobile on your own. Oh well.I have always ranked Chaos Dragon as one of the easiest event heroes to unlock. I guess it doesn’t matter to you.
Anyway, since you’re already here, and I’m feeling generous, I’ll tell you all about him. So, sit still, pay attention, and learn from the best.
“Nothing Will Stand in My Way!” – Gravios
Who Is Chaos Dragon?
Gravios was born in the Dragon Kingdom during the reign of Draxido the Black. But everything changed when the humans attacked. Chaos Dragon escaped to the wild with his sister Eloise and spent years traveling and forming a plan. He is now back to the Dragon Kingdom to take that which belongs to him and return the Kingdom to its long-lost glory.
As far as backstories go, it’s not as bad as some of the rest, but it’s short nevertheless.
How Good Is Chaos Dragon My Score
I would give Chaos Dragon’s lore a solid 3/5. There’s some substance to it, but it fails to make a real impact. If you aren’t new to my website, you know that I don’t just give out high scores easily to make developers happy. Why would I?
On the other hand, the hero’s skill boosts are quite impressive. He is overall a good hero to have in your arsenal. His battle skills and Hero skills are quite a marvel. His 25% ATK boost makes him a suitable replacement for Bombin’ Goblin.
Unfortunately, there is a downside to Chaos Dragon. He can’t tank, is hard to obtain, and you need to get to Castle level 25 to complete the 24-hour challenge or stage 3 Hell events to even unlock him. You get one medal for each hell event and 3 for every 24-hour challenge. It takes quite a bit of time to max him out because you need at least 330 medals to get to the Legendary grade. For this reason, Chaos Dragon scores 7.5/10 on my charts. He ranks second only after Pegasus among the event heroes.
If you can get him, great, but it’s going to take you a while.
Chaos Dragon has solid battle and hero skills that can help you in a few different ways. If you rewire your brain to use them wisely, that is. All provide a significantly higher boost when maxed out to Gold (Legendary) tier.
Let’s see what battle skills the good old Chaos Dragon possesses. His map skills include:
- Research Boost of 25% – This is a really solid boost, but it comes a bit too little too late.
- Army ATK Boost of 25%
- Army DEF Boost of 30%
- Vengeance Storm – This tactical battle skill deals up to 200% physical damage to the enemy.
Army bonuses being global rather than troop specific makes Chaos Dragon effective around the map for anything you pair with him, but a specialized hero might grant a bigger bonus overall.
In combat, his skills are OK, but nothing spectacular:
- Dragon roar – A directional AoE skill that deals damage to all enemies in a cone while increasing his critical for eight seconds.
- Dance of death – A fiery shockwave that knocks back enemies and lowers their defenses.
- Trail Blazer- An AoE ultimate that deals damage over three seconds.
- All Fired Up- Passively grants Gravios a DEX increase.
Overall, it’s not the most groundbreaking set of skills, but the combination means he can dish out some serious damage, provided he doesn’t die beforehand.
Here’s some additional information on Gravios:
- Type: Cavalry
- Class: Agility – DEX
- Species: Dragon
- Sex: Male
- Movement: Running
How to Unlock the Chaos Dragon
It takes a long while to unlock Gravios. For a greenhorn like you, it can take months to obtain the Chaos Dragon Medal. The only way you can succeed in this quickly is by paying attention to what I say, you twat! Use the 24-hour challenge so you have more time and at the same time obtain more medals. Unlocking Chaos Dragon also costs a lot of research points.
You need to complete Stage 3 Hell events or the 24-hour challenges to obtain the Chaos Dragon medals. Be aware that in Hell events, you’ll need to complete the challenge in an hour which may be difficult for a slob like you. But if you really think that you’re that special, then go ahead and try it. I don’t think you’ll manage to do it.
Dragon Chaos and The Colosseum
Chaos Dragon can’t tank in the Colosseum. He is your run-of-the-mill damage dealer with a bit of debuffing. This is aided by his great dexterity if you haven’t caught on just yet. So, even though Dragon Chaos isn’t at the top of the Colosseum, he is a great candidate for your main or supplementary DPS.
Gravios’s skills are nice to have in your arsenal when battling in the Colosseum, but they’re not exemplary. Add Chaos Dragon to your lineup if you haven’t unlocked heroes such as Rose Knight, Oath Keeper, or the Watcher. He is close to being great, especially since you don’t have to shell out a lot of cash to upgrade him.
Rallying with Chaos Dragon
Chaos Dragon is a great option for rallying among F2P heroes. His two Army boosts provide a solid advantage for any type of troop. Perhaps one of his best benefits is that he also provides solid research speed. Overall, he’s quite decent of a rally hero, similar to other event heroes.
Monster Hunting with Chaos Dragon
Gravios isn’t a great choice for monster hunting. He doesn’t output as much damage as the best-in-class DEX heroes, and his coming late means you’ll usually have a few good heroes maxed out already. The only monster he can really take on is Phantom Knight. But, if push comes to shove, Chaos Dragon can provide notable impact in a lineup against Guild Bash Monsters such as Huey Hops and Arctic Flipper.
Tips and Trivia
- Chaos Dragon made his Lords Mobile debut back in November of 2016.
- F2P Alternatives: If you’re looking to get a better F2P, Black Crow and Child of Light offer way better ATK and HP boost. Black Crow also provides a 50% ranged defense boost which is a great asset for any battle.
- P2P Alternatives: Petite Devil and Witch Doll are great P2P alternatives if you’re looking to boost your research speed. Mastercook also provides great Impenetrable defense though a little lower than Chaos Dragon. He outshines Chaos Dragon with the high HP and ATK boost that is essential in battle.
