Monster Hunter Now is a mobile version of the popular monster-hunting series. It’s a simpler look into a world that’s usually very complicated. Niantic, the company best known for making Pokémon GO, has worked with Capcom to make a similar AR game. With this new Monster Hunter game, it will be even easier for people who like playing games on their phones to play the series.
Monster Hunter: Now brings monsters into the real world, so players can go about their daily lives and enjoy them by stopping every so often to see what might be nearby. This is likely to bring in a lot of new players, but people who didn’t like Monster Hunter World might not want to play it.
Monster Hunter Now vs Classic MonHun
Monster Hunter Now does a great job of setting up the story right away, and most of the game’s features are pretty easy to understand. In simple terms, this is something that people of all ages and skill levels could easily learn and enjoy. But that could also be its biggest flaw. Even though it’s different from the others, Monster Hunter World fans are more likely to like it than fans of the original Monster Hunter.
Monster Hunter is a grindy game no matter what form it takes. People spend several hours at a time hunting certain monsters to make their gear stronger. Then they hunt even stronger monsters to make even better gear, and so on. Even though the circle never ends, many players enjoy it because they can see their hard work pay off and make plans based on their preferences. One important part of Monster Hunter Now is that it encourages players to move around and explore the real world by linking where they are to the monsters they can find. This is kind of cool, but it takes away from the planning and sense of success that a lot of Monster Hunter players want.
Is Monster Hunter Now Safe for Kids?
As per Niantic, there is no way to make a child account. Monster Hunter Now is only for people over the age of 13 in most places, but the game is geared toward older teens and adults.

Monster Hunter Now and Pokemon Go
These are both virtual reality games for mobile devices, but they are very different in terms of their content, how they are played, and how you can customize them. Monster Hunter Now is based on the Monster Hunter series and has action-packed fights with monsters that you can work together to defeat in real-time. Poké Ball, on the other hand, is the inspiration for Pokémon Go, which is all about catching and collecting Pokémon in real life and competing in gym fights. Monster Hunter Now has a lot of character creation options that let players make their avatars look quite different from each other. Pokémon Go, on the other hand, has fewer customization options.
Notably, both games are made by Niantic, which shows that the company is an expert in virtual reality games. Monster Hunter Now has also gotten good reviews for fixing some of the problems that Pokémon Go had. Especially when it came to making the game easier for people in rural and suburban areas to play. This shows that Niantic is committed to making its games better for players. Because of these differences, Monster Hunter Now and Pokémon Go are interesting to different groups of people. Monster Hunter Now is more about action and teamwork, while Pokémon Go is more about exploring and collecting Pokémon.
AR Camera Mode
With AR Camera Mode, fearsome monsters show up right in front of you in the real world. You can interact with them, see how they respond, and quickly post on social media just like Pokemon GO.
Encounter a monster that you might not be able to defeat by yourself. It’s easy to get other people to help with Group Hunt. It finds close hunters for you automatically so you can work together.
Group hunt features:
- Friends: Use a QR code or friend code to make new friends, or use an invite code to get new people to join. You and your friends can not only play together, but you can also earn prizes like paintballs and speed pills. Up to three other hunters can be close and you can play with them.
- Parties: Hunters can get together with a group of friends and go hunting together at a hunting party. Each person in the party can hunt the monsters that other people have found.
Like earlier Monster Hunter games, “Monster Hunter Now” lets hunters pre-set equipment and weapons to swiftly swap them during the game.
Loadout, a request from many soft launch participants, lets players choose armor, weapons, and other equipment before a monster encounter, making it easier to switch while hunting.
“At long last, the day has come to deliver Monster Hunter Now to everyone around the world,” says Capcom Monster Hunter Series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. Monster Hunter Now is a unique Monster Hunter experience that delivers simple yet rich hunting moments on smartphones with taps and flicks and real-time multiplayer combat with pals. For Monster Hunter fans new and old, we promise a thrilling new experience.
“Monster Hunter Now is the perfect combination of Niantic’s philosophy of exploring the world and the sheer fun of hunting and battling monsters together,” says CPO Kei Kawai. The game is easy to play but difficult to master because it was designed for mobile. We hope it honors this legendary game franchise and thrills fans for years.”
Niantic collaborated with Capcom to create a mobile Monster Hunter game that stays faithful to the beloved franchise.
The firms worked with global rock band ONE OK ROCK on the music video “Make It Out Alive,” which depicts a hunter sprinting through Tokyo and confronting Diabolos at the Shibuya Crossing, to celebrate the launch.

Weapons in Monster Hunter Now
At the moment, there are six weapons in the game. From the powerful Great Sword to the quick Long Sword, each has its own way of being used, which you need to learn and master. If you want to move through the game quickly, you should get a strong tool that does great damage all the time.
Sword & Shield
The Sword & Shield is the perfect mix of offense and defense. It lets you strike quickly while still letting you stop attacks by holding down your device for a long time. The Sword and Shield is a great starting tool that hunters have used for years. It also has a Special Skill called “Perfect Rush Combo” that lets you hit monsters hard with a series of powerful attacks.
For some monsters, big tools are needed, and the Great Sword is the biggest one available. Attack monsters with the full force of a huge, deadly blade—a long press releases a strong, charged slash. The “True Charged Slash” Great Sword Special Skill lets you hit monsters with an even stronger slash that does a lot of damage.
With the Long Sword, you can hit continuously and quickly. Monsters that attack you build up a Spirit Gauge that makes their attacks stronger. If you get hit, though, you’ll lose the Spirit Gauge. A skill called “Spirit Helm Breaker” that attacks from the sky and jumps and cuts does a lot of damage.
You want to hit big things with big tools, right? A hammer is a blunt force weapon that will leave an impact on any monster it hits, especially if it hits it in the head. Forget about how precise blades are. “Spinning Bludgeon” is a special skill that lets you swing the hammer around and do damage all the while. It ends with a strong upper attack.
Keep your distance from the fight and fire a long-range attack that will make even a Barroth think twice about bothering you. The bullets are different for each bowgun, and choosing bullets that kill certain monsters will make your strikes even stronger. “Wyvernblast Counter” is a special skill that lets you fire a strong bullet that can hurt monsters very badly but also makes a big explosion.
A weapon that is great for hits from a medium distance. If the player presses the screen for a long time, they can charge up to four levels. Each level releases a different type of shot. Hunters can use their full strength with the “Dragon Piercer” Special Skill to fire an arrow that can go through anything and does a lot of damage to monsters.
Monster Hunter Now is a good game for newbies, but it’s not as hard as Monster Hunter. On the one hand, you don’t have to think about grinding for hours on end, but on the other hand, most people love that about these games. Also, Monster Hunter World fans are probably more likely to want this game than classic Monster Hunter players. That being said, there is no doubt that a lot of care went into making it feel like a true Monster Hunter game.
Anyone who has played Pokémon GO before or wants to try it for the first time should give this a chance, but they should give it a real thorough chance, which means getting out there and experiencing everything it has to offer. This is especially true for people who really liked the way they played Pokémon GO.
