What is the Sanctuary?
Okay, first off, I have a video, and if you’re like half of my fans, who have no idea how to read, you may be better just watching a video…
Yes. I know my audience. Most of you are completely alliterate! Also Subscribe and like the video OR ELSE! And once you finish the video, keep reading to learn the stuff that wasn’t mentioned in the video!
Now that most of you are gone. Here’s a breakdown on the Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary is a new building that IGG unrolled in Lords Mobile that saves some of your red-dead troops and lets you earn them back.
Honestly, I usually rag on Lords Mobile, but this update was actually quite genius. There are hardly any players that don’t love.
- The small guys love it because they don’t have to work so hard to recreate their troops
- The big guys love it because they have more troops to kill again in two weeks
- IGG love it because they’re retaining a lot more player who would have angry-uninstalled the game after getting zeroed.
Please remember that the sanctuary is only triggered once the infirmary has been filled. You will not be able to use it if you still have more space for troops to go… But more of that in the next section!
Which Troops go to the Sanctuary?
Okay. Let me clarify this clearly for the slow readers.
The Sanctuary will not collect troops if the infirmary has open slots!
It’s as simple as it gets. And yet, like the siege-loving morons read this, they’ve already forgotten it. Story of this blog!
Additionally, only as many troops as fit in the Sanctuary will go to the Sanctuary. Again, this is stupid-level obvious and yet not obvious at all to the stupid. So if you have enough spots to fill 1,250,000 in the Sanctuary (Castle Level 25), and you have 2,000,000 troops that didn’t fit in the infirmary, the left over 750,000 troops will be red-dead forever. Yes, that means 750k are totally gone!
Stop crying and just be thankful that you will get to earn back some of them!
Of course, keep in mind that 20% of the red-dead troops that don’t make it to the infirmary will be dead before reaching the Sanctuary. That’s the price of playing, I guess!
Okay. Here’s the really good news before we get to the tasks and jobs that will be required to earn back the rest of the 1.25m troops.
Divine Providence is the section (10% if you’re getting technical) of the Sanctuary in Lords Mobile that will be automatically healed after the countdown finishes. Most of the troops will NOT go to this section.
This is the meat of the building. This is the section where 70% of the red-dead troops will end up, and this is the section that will require to do a bunch of “wonderful” tasks to earn back your troops!
The names and the titles are all rather misleading. I wish they used names that made it more simple, instead of incorrectly misappropriating words that don’t really give proper context. Again, someone at IGG drank way too much wine before entering the board meeting.
Here’s the short of it: In the Divine Resurrection section you will slowly earn points automatically and you will also be able to do tasks in order to bring your troops back alive!
The points are called “Devotion” and my brain is now hurting because of how complicated they have made this stupid thing.
My guess is that they hired a group of actuaries and paid them to make it as complicated as possible…

Completing Divine Tasks
So far there are 11 Tasks. They are all easy and they give a total maximum of 161,200 devotion per day.
|Complete 20 Admin/Guild Quests||18,600 Points|
|Open 5 Mystery Boxes||15,500 Points|
|Gather 450,000 Food||15,500 Points|
|Gather 450,000 Timber||15,500 Points|
|Gather 450,000 Stone||15,500 Points|
|Gather 450,000 Ore||15,500 Points|
|Gather 150,000 Gold||15,500 Points|
|Complete 10 Hero Stages||12,400 Points|
|Hit 10 Monsters||12,400 Points|
|Send 20 Help to your guildmates||12,400 Points|
|Get 2 Dark Essences||12,400 Points|
The good news is that they’re all easy. The only tasks that may take a little bit of effort will be the gathering tasks, but stop being lazy and just do it!
You will have 24-hours to complete the tasks and then they will reset and you can do them all over again!
Okay. Here’s the thing. The big players (and trap accounts) are only going to benefit so much from the Sanctuary. At level 25, the maximum capacity for the Sanctuary is going to be 1.25m troops. There are loads players that have 10’s of millions of troops…
But something is better than nothing. Hence, the reason that you shouldn’t be devastated by your IQ…
My guess is that Lords Mobile will soon create research upgrades that will enable you to boost the Sanctuary, but at level 10 it will only probably be about a 10-15% boost.
Until then, here’s the list of the Sanctuary capacity and (free Devotion per Hour) based on Castle Level.
|Castle Level||Devotion Per Hour||Sanctuary Capacity|
Honestly, this is my favorite part of the sanctuary. In fact, it’s worth losing troops just to lay a solid Sanctuary Trap.
Unlike the regular trap and the gryphon traps which are both completely over-exposed, the sanctuary trap (and the infirmary trap as well) is barely used and barely known!
It’s super easy to execute.
- You’ll need is a full Sanctuary
- Earn off all the tasks and points, BUT do not resurrect the troops
- DO NOT run anti-scout
- Leave enough troops and a leader that will make you a tempting non-rally target (100,000 troops is about the sweet spot)
- Right before you get hit Resurrect your troops.
If you manage to get a video of doing it, send it to me and I’ll put it on the website as an example!
